Booth construction
A booth drawn with no seat and no joint is rebuilt on site. Construction here is a frame, a face, a screen if needed, a waiting seat, power, and numbered parts that strike. The idea sits on the booth-design page. The ready system sits on the system-stand page.
Definition
Joinery for one show is honest when the form will not repeat and the hours cover its joints. If the show repeats and a clean strike does not, the piece is broken and called a system, and it is not one.
Stability, and an exit if the footprint is large enough under the code, and a materials class if the manual asks, sit with the person responsible for this erection and with the report. This page grants neither a certificate nor a kilogram.
When is this service needed?
The form will not stand on octanorm
Sculpted, or double height within the manual’s limit.
One show with a heavy identity
Joinery is consumed. Do not promise a return if the joint will not strike.
Seating and a screen together
Waiting is part of the footprint. The catalogue supplies the seat, not a free sketch.
Before the face is printed
The door and the store are settled, or a wrong opening is printed.
Where it is used
An exhibition hall
The manual is a contract of height and time.
An event inside a hotel
The corridor is often narrower. Parts are designed for the entrance, not only for the workshop.
Not a public stand
Temporary hospitality is the events page. The load is different.
Workshop then site
What is not trial-struck in the workshop is a surprise in the hall.
Parts of the solution
A numbered frame
Every piece knows its neighbour. Improvisation eats the hours.
A face
Print, wood, or cloth. Fire comes from that build-up’s report if it is asked for.
An optional screen
Indoor LED at aisle distance, not at stadium distance.
Seating and storage
Inside the footprint. A catalogue seat if the wait is long.
Engineering considerations
The building entrance
Piece length passes the door and the lift, not only the truck dream.
Strike
Designed with the build. A window shorter than the part count means a system, not joinery.
Power and heat
A large screen heats a closed store. The path is drawn.
The exit
The code, if the area is large. This page fixes no width.
Sound
A point for a corner conversation. An array is the audio page if the whole hall must hear.
Materials
Exhibition timber
It strikes or it is consumed. Do not promise a building’s life.
Welded metal
A weld that will not strike is an expensive move. A bolted joint may be more honest.
A printed face
It is cut to the approved openings, not to an old render.
Related systems
Lighting
Under hall light. An extra spot glares at the neighbour.
LED
The indoor page. Aisle distance is short.
A seat
From the catalogue. Its centre is not a theatre-row problem, but its width steals footprint.
Hall cooling
A closed booth can stifle. The opening is drawn.
Design sequence
- 01
Fix footprint, height, and hours from the manual.
- 02
Draw joints, the door, and storage before the face.
- 03
Test piece length against the building door.
- 04
Name the screen or the print. Not both without a reason.
- 05
Write the strike as a schedule, not as a hope.
Delivery sequence
- 01
A trial strike in the workshop for a new joint.
- 02
A numbered move. Shortages are found before the hall.
- 03
Installation inside the hours. Delay is announced, not hidden with cutting.
- 04
Power exposed to the inspector as the manual asked.
- 05
The aisle is handed over empty.
Testing
A partial strike
One joint opens and closes before opening.
Reading in the hall’s day and evening light
The face does not depend on the camera flash.
Screen heat
If there is one, after an hour of operation, not after a minute.
Commissioning
A signed list
Parts, power, height.
A strike lead
A name. A booth without a name stays in the hall.
What is not accepted
A form that strikes only by being broken.
Maintenance
A second show
A tired joint is replaced. It is not forced.
The face
A scratch in exposed timber is not hidden without a decision.
Storage
Upright, not leaning. Joinery twists.
Common mistakes
A render with no joint
It is built twice: in the picture and on site with a saw.
A promise of permanent reuse
Exhibition joinery is not household furniture.
A stadium screen in a booth
Pitch and distance are wrong. The indoor page.
Ignoring the hotel door
The piece does not enter. Strike starts in the car park.
Short comparison
The comparison is a way to choose a path. It is not a product recommendation and it is not a code.
| Path | Fits when | Weakens when |
|---|---|---|
| Show joinery | One form, and the hours are enough. | Many shows and a short strike night. Move to the system. |
| Bolted metal | A repeated return, heavier than system aluminium. | When the weld will not pass the door. Redesign the joint. |
| A ready system | The form accepts the panel. | When the identity is cut to the panel size and dies. Return to joinery. |
Discussion ranges
Any number here is a preliminary discussion range from practice or a named reference. Replace it with the project criterion, laboratory data, and on-site measurement.
| Item | What is discussed | Limit of this page |
|---|---|---|
| Build and strike hours | From this hall’s manual. | No count on the page. |
| Piece length | What passes the door and the lift. | No metre here. The entrance is measured. |
| Storage | Volume inside the footprint for crates during the day. | No imposed cubic metre. Omitting it makes the aisle the store. |
| Face fire performance | The build-up report if the manual asks. | No class on this page. |
What this page does not claim
No fire classification, absorption coefficient, sound pressure level, or legal capacity on this page may be copied into a quotation. Those values come from a product test report, a measurement, or the local code adopted for the project.
Questions designers and owners ask
Is construction the same as design?
No. Design asks what the visitor sees. Construction asks how the piece strikes at night.
Can the booth return?
Only if the joint was designed for it and tried. A promise without a strike is a false trial.
Where does the seat come from?
The seat catalogue if people must wait. Not an exposed stadium chair inside a booth.
Do you include a screen?
If the picture must move. Pitch comes from the indoor LED page at aisle distance.
Where is the fast stand?
The system-stand page. Here, what will not stand on them.

Turn the question into a brief
A study starts from room volume, use, and existing condition, not from a product name. Fill the brief and copy it.
