Proscenium
The architectural frame separating stage from house, forming the “picture frame” through which the audience watches.
Explanation
The proscenium theatre is the classic form, with the audience on one side facing the stage. The frame hides wings and flying and enables scene changes.
Proscenium width and height are among the most important dimensions in theatre design.
